Leider wird Palliative Care noch von vielen Menschen in der Form verstanden, dass es hierbei ausschließlich um Sterbebegleitung und Schmerztherapie geht. Diese Sichtweise ist sicherlich sehr verkürzt und wird dem Umfang dieses Angebotes nicht gerecht.
Der hier aufgeführte Podcast orientiert sich in der Ausgangsfragestellung an einer Definition der WHO. Mithilfe dieser Definition wird schnell erkennbar, dass auch Menschen mit einer Demenz sehr wohl vom Ansatz der Palliative Care schon sehr frühzeitig profitieren können, wenn dieses Angebot radikal gedacht und umgesetzt wird.
