Il 17 ottobre 1994 viene conclusa la corsa in taxi più lunga del mondo: Jeremy Levine guida da Londra a Città del Capo e ritorno, percorrendo quasi 43000 chilometri. Il tragitto costa ai passeggeri Mark Aylett e Carlos Aresse 40000 sterline, che oggi equivarrebbero a circa 120000 euro.
