About this listen

April is Genocide Awareness Month, and we’re commemorating with author Victoria Atamian Waterman, actor and audiobook narrator Dalita Getzoyan, and chair of the RI Holocaust & Genocide Education Commission Pauline Getzoyan. Host Lauren talks to our guests about Victoria’s book Who She Left Behind, a generational story of survival, love, and motherhood in the aftermath of the Armenian Genocide. They also discuss the joys of live theater and the experience of seeing yourself represented on the big screen for the first time. In the Last Chapter they discuss: is there a book that you identified with or learned something from that really stuck with you? Overdueing It is a project funded by the Rhode Island Office of Library and Information Services and is produced by library staff around the Ocean State. We are proud to be a resident partner of the Rhode Island Center for the Book.
