About this listen

Lachie Henderson played over 200 games of AFL across a 14-year career with Brisbane, Carlton, and Geelong. Picked up at #8 in the 2007 draft, Lachie made a name for himself as a reliable key-position player—kicking goals, holding down defensive roles, and consistently showing up in finals footy.

But this episode isn’t just about what happened on the field.

Since retiring in 2021, Lachie’s stepped into a completely new world—co-founding a luxury diamond business, Chadwick Hill, with his wife, Rebecca. From elite sport to entrepreneurship, this chat is a deep dive into identity, resilience, reinvention, and backing yourself in unknown territory.

We talk about:

  • Growing up and chasing the AFL dream
  • The emotional highs and lows of professional sport
  • Navigating trades, injury, and retirement
  • Starting a diamond business with his wife and what he's learned
  • The importance of values, teamwork, and mindset in life after sport

This is a refreshing and honest convo about letting go of one chapter and embracing the next with purpose.
