 岐阜県恵那の栗を使った栗きんとん、栗菓子を販売する株式会社恵那川上屋さんは鎌田さんの お父様・満さんが1964年に開業。お店を代表する栗きんとんは、オープン当初から作られていたんですが、流通網の発展により、県外の百貨店への出店が増えると、地元の栗だけでは足りず、全国から仕入れた栗を使っていました。そこで昔と違う味に気付いた鎌田さんは、改めて、栗の産地として地元で栗を育て加工を行い販売する戦略を立てて、見事、日本一の栗ブランドを作ることに成功しました。そして、さらに農業を発展させるために、様々な施設や工場を展開するなど、精力的に活動する中で、SDGsの取り組みについても伺いました。
