God, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, is not distant or indifferent to our suffering. He is present in our afflictions, providing relief, strength, encouragement, and the resolve to endure. This comfort is not a tranquilliser that dulls our pain, but a divine fortification that enables us to stand firm in the face of trials.
