सकासकाळी, बँकेच्या आवारात एक म्हातारी ओरडत, हुज्जत घालत होती. तिचं एकच म्हणणं होतं,
"तुम्हीच खाताय माझे पैसे."
अमरनाथने तिला काही न बोलता पाचशे रुपयांच्या नोटा काढून दिल्या.ती क्षणभर गोंधळली. दीड वर्ष सरलं. दर महिन्याला ती तिच्या हक्काच्या पेन्शनचे अमरनाथकडून पैसे घेत राहिली…
मुख्य साहेबांनी तिला खरं सांगितलं.
“आज्जी, तुमची पेन्शन सरकारकडून गेल्या दीड वर्षांपूर्वीच बंद झाली आहे.अमरनाथ साहेब दर महिन्याला तुम्हाला त्यांच्या पगारातून तुमची पेन्शन द्यायचे. आज त्यांना अपघात झालाय.” .......
