About this listen

According to Brewer's, U and Non-U is an outdated term to describe the differences between English social classes based on usage of certain words. "U" is upper class and "Non-U" is non-upper class. For example, it is U to say "luncheon" and Non-U to say "lunch." Does the language we use determine our reality, and if so to what extent? Interesting questions. Perhaps ponder them while giving our episode a listen.
