About this listen
The Bible clearly describes God love for us. If you want to focus on one aspect of God’s character today, remember this great truth: You are deeply loved by God. Our Heavenly Father doesn’t just express love. The Bible says He is love.
Main Points:
1. The love we have received from God is undeserved. It is unmerited. We are unworthy of such great love, yet it doesn’t stop God from loving us.
2. There are a lot of people who will love you if you show them love. But in the case of God, He is the initiator. He does not respond to our love for Him. He loved us before we ever cared about Him and before we ever knew Him.
3. One of the proofs of God’s love is that it is sacrificial. The scripture says God sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.”
Today’s Scripture Verses:
1 John 4:7-8 – “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”
1 John 4:9-10 – “This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.”
1 Corinthians 13:4-6 - “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
