The new year may just be another day. But we often use it as a chance to reset & an opportunity to leave behind those things that no longer serve us. Many people make resolutions. Less than 1% make it 10 months & 20% make it at least 3 months successfully. But the overwhelming majority of resolutions are abandoned by the second Friday of January, dubbed “Quitter Friday.” What is it that makes so many of us flounder at those goals that we know are good for us? What makes us flop on those good intentions? Why can’t those good conscious decisions be kept? Usually it has to do with a conflict between what our conscious mind thinks & what our subconscious mind feels. When this happens, the feelings overpower the thoughts every time.
