In this episode Indie talks to social worker of P&G292 Heleen. Heleen has been a social worker to many a sexworker in the red light district for over 25 years and before has worked with sexworkers in the Amsterdam Tippelzone. She also is part of the confidential team and helps sexworkers in the more complex and difficult cases.
We talk with Heleen about how she tries to help sexworkers without taking away their agency and choice, how sexworkers sometimes have difficulty dealing with the stigma of being constantly considered a victim and shares one particularly harrowing experience of sexworkers in the Red Light District involving the police.
