About this listen

 島根県立美術館で開催中の「平山郁夫　未来へのキャラバンーシルクロードから日本、そして出雲へー」。 戦後を代表する日本画家として知られる平山郁夫は、 １５歳の時に広島で被爆しながらも奇跡的に命を取りとめた後、画家を志し、 平和への祈りのもと仏教に題材を求め独自の日本画表現に到達しました。 今回の展覧会では、シルクロード画家としての代表作、 平山郁夫が収集したシルクロードの至宝、 日本を旅して描いた日本の風景を３つの章で構成。 出雲路を取材し制作した「八雲立つ　出雲路古代幻想」をはじめ、関連する素描作品やスケッチ類もまとめて公開しています。 戦後８０年の節目の時、平和を祈って生涯をささげた平山郁夫の多彩な業績をご観覧下さい。
