自从特朗普重回白宫后，贸易问题一直是中美之间绕不过去的坎儿。特朗普上任40天来，不断地给中国加征关税，目前已经累计达到百分之二十。而中国方面也还以颜色，对来自美国的鸡肉，小麦，玉米，棉花等农产品加征15%的关税。另外，中国还将15家美国实体列入出口管控名单，以及11家美国企业列入不可靠实体清单。
就在美中双方贸易战不断升级之际，中国驻美国大使馆在X平台转发中国外交部发言人林剑措辞强硬的发言，其中最后一段话激起了美方的强烈反弹。这句话就是：“如果战争是美国想要的事情，无论是关税战，贸易战或其他任何类型的战争，我们都准备奉陪到底”。
