1. Hello, this is [Name] speaking.


This is how you introduce yourself when you call someone.

Example: Hello, this is Yousef speaking.

(سلام، یوسف هستم.)


2. I’m calling about…


Use this when you want to explain the reason for your call.

Example: I’m calling about the job interview we scheduled.

(در مورد مصاحبه‌ای که قرار گذاشتیم تماس گرفتم.)


3. Could I speak to [Name], please?


A polite way to ask for someone.

Example: Could I speak to Mr. Thomas, please?

4. Is this a good time to talk?


Use this when you’re not sure if the person is available.

Example: Hi Sarah, is this a good time to talk?

5. Hold on a second / Please hold.


Say this when you want the other person to wait.

Example: Hold on a second, I’ll check the schedule.

6. I’ll put you through.


This means you’re connecting the call to someone else.

Example: I’ll put you through to the sales department.

(وصل‌تون می‌کنم به بخش فروش.)


7. The line is busy.


It means the person is already on another call.

Example: I tried to call him, but the line was busy.

(سعی کردم تماس بگیرم، ولی خطش اشغال بود.)


8. You’ve got the wrong number.


Say this when someone calls you by mistake.

Example: Sorry, you’ve got the wrong number.

(ببخشید، شماره اشتباه گرفتید.)


9. Can I take a message?


Use this when someone is not available and you want to write a message for them.

Example: He’s not in right now. Can I take a message?

(الان اینجا نیست. پیغام می‌ذارین؟)


10. I’ll call back later.


If you want to call again at another time, say this.

Example: No worries. I’ll call back later.

(اشکالی نداره، بعداً تماس می‌گیرم.)
