ABSOLUTELY MARVELOUS

WISTERIA WYVERNS is the fifth book in the absolutely marvelous Wisteria Witches series. They must be read in the order of release. As always, I must warn you that listening to this Wisteria audiobook may - ok will - cause uncontrolled giggling and some very loud laughing. Danger: Snark ahead! And I do love snark. What could be worse than finding out that your dead mother is a zombie? How about being locking in an old castle with the zombie mom while you investigate the murder of the ghost in your head, try to figure out why there is a Doppelganger of the hunky neighbor, and avoid the detective who is calling mommy-dearest his “blueberry muffin”? Yep, all of that, and it is hilarious! A great, light, cozy mystery. I’m looking forward to what may come next. My favorite character in this release has to be Ribbons, especially when voiced by Tiffany Williams. He sounds like a wanna-be Dracula with all of the attitude and the accent. Narration: Tiffany Williams never fails to delight me. Her presentation is impeccable and a highlight to my day this week has been getting into the car to spend those hours with her. Note: While I received this book as a gifted audiobook copy, my opinions are my own and are given freely. Title: WISTERIA WYVERNS Series: Wisteria Witches #5 Category /Genre: Paranormal Cozy Mystery Recommended for: 18+ due to sexual content Listenability: OK for ears Received from: Angela Pepper (as an Audible gifted copy)

As it Should Be

Wisteria Wyverns by Angela Pepper is part of a great series. I so enjoy the vivid imagery, snarky humor and quirky characters. There is substance to the story and entertainment. Zara Riddle is an endearing character, whom is the focus of this book. I love her spirit and determination. Tiffany Williams is spectacular bringing the numerous characters to life with her voice. She gives them distinguishable voices, so I know who's speaking. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will most definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.

Wisteria Wyverns

Zara Riddle does it again in another fantastic book in Wisteria. She finds herself with another ghost and helps solve the mystery of the ghost’s death along with a few more things that just don’t add up along the way. I can’t wait to see what comes next. As with all the previous books in this series, narration was perfect.

Another fun adventure for Zara and her cohorts....

Wisteria Wyverns is the fifth book in this series featuring Zara Riddle, a librarian whose recent move to the small town of Wisteria opened up her reality to include all kind of supernatural beings. Zara is among these supernatural with her newly awakened witchy magical powers. Although the author does a good job of providing some of this background story and Wisteria Wyverns could be enjoyable as a standalone, I love the entire series and recommend listening to all five books in order for the most enjoyment. In each story, a new member of Zara's family has been introduced, and this book opens with Zara reconnecting with her deceased mother, whom Zara believes is reanimated as a zombie. As they visit a castle cum spa hotel for some much needed mother/daughter time, Zara finds herself in another murder mystery and is again possessed by the ghost of the victim. Between an intriguing whodunit mystery and the introduction of several new mystical characters, including two djinn, a vampire and a wyvern, this book is packed with plenty of adventure and moments of hilarity. As always, Zara's positive, determined spirt shines through any gloom, and she triumphs (with plenty of hiccups) in the end. Tiffany William's narration is superb. She narrates all the books thus far in the series, and she is the perfect choice for Zara's bubbly personality. Her delivery is flawless, and her performance is so smooth that hours of listening pass seemingly in minutes. I highly recommend both William's narration and Pepper's imaginative prose. These two makes a great team, and I am looking forward to many more of their audiobook collaborations in the future. I received a copy of this audiobook at my request in exchange for this honest review.

Witches, Gnomes, and Zombies (?) Oh My!

I love this series and the companion series that explores Zinnia's life in more detail. This story introduces Zara's mother and tells us more about the relationships Zara had with her parents. But wasn't Zara's mother dead? Angela always gives us a surprise and leaves us with a cliffhanger to lead into the next book! I can't stop listening! I absolutely love Zara's sense of humor and the repartee between Zara and her daughter Zoe. Tiffany does a great job with the narration. I was given this review copy and this is my honest review.

Wisteria has even more types of magical beings

This is another book that brings different magical/supernatural beings together. Zara learns that her dead mother isn't dead any longer. Zara has to deal with magical beings she didn't know were in Wisteria in this installment. Her magical house goes through additional changes as well. I like listening to Zara's snarky whit. I received this book from the author and this is my true review.

I simply love this series :)

And this book does nothing to dissuade me :P Zara's mom is... not dead. A zombie? Who knows, Zara still keeps waiting to see her eating some tasty brains :P And there is a dead body, a big bunch of LEO's people, and a WYVERN! Yes, yes, Zara is set to uncover the murderer, but wouldn't be cool to manage to befriend the wyvern while she is at it? This is, as always, fun, entertaining and a delightful ride. Tiffany Williams is her usual wonderful self and provides us with a superb narration :) If you haven't still read this series, go! go! You won't regret it :D

Post-Humous Parental Panic

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review. Zara is a good witch. She is always well written, hilarious and helpful. However, this time she has to deal with her mother who died many years ago. The interaction between Zara and her mother are worth the price of admission alone – especially after the revelations about her in book 4. This story is a little different from the previous volumes. Most of the book is spent in a single large location rather than allowing Zara the ability to move throughout and interact with the town. Zoey and Zinnia are also sidelined for most of the book. Zara, her mother, Chet a mysterious stranger and the ghost of the week are the characters the book is most interested in. However despite the smaller scale of the plot the revelations and connections keep coming and the mystery evolves in some truly bizarre ways I did not see coming. This cozy mystical mystery continues to develop the world Angela Pepper has created and populates it with more supernatural creatures and beings. A few mysteries from previous books are explained which should enrich re-reads and shows the great detail and foreshadowing Angela crafted for us. Tiffany Williams puts in another strong performance – capturing many delightful voices and even a few accents that Zara tries to imitate. She is lively, expressive and captures the feel of the writing. If you liked books 1-4 then 5 should be a no brainer. You are in for quite a ride. Where do I sign up for a pet wyvern?

Great Escapism, with characters you care about

A very entertaining story very well narrated. Follows the characters developed in the previous four books in the series as well as bringing in new and interesting characters. The story is fun and a great way to escape during these difficult times. Can’t wait to find out what happens next.

An entertaining series

I really enjoy this series for it's fun and lively plot, the loopy characters and the mayhem that magic creates. However, I thought the ending was very dragged out. I would have preferred the book to end once the mystery was solved. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy.
