Publisher's Summary

Zara Riddle is another year older, and busier than ever. She's a powerful witch, a skilled librarian, and the World's Best Mom - according to her coffee mug. It's no wonder the town's detective keeps seeking her help. If you want something done, ask a busy person!

Zara partners again with Detective Bentley to investigate a call about a missing person. The caller, a sweet little old lady named Temperance Krinkle, claims to have psychic abilities. Zara and Bentley have to laugh when it turns out the missing "person" is a tiny figurine from a dollhouse. But then a local resident disappears for real, and the so-called psychic with the attic full of creepy dollhouses doesn't seem so funny anymore.

Now Zara and Bentley, witch librarian and vampire detective, must use their skills to unravel a mystifying crime. That is, when they aren't using their skills to drive each other crazy.

Getting to the bottom of this case is going to take every resource in Wisteria, from Zara's coworkers at the library, to the police department, plus City Hall, and the supernatural agents at the Department of Water and Magic. This conspiracy runs deep. Miles deep. When the entity behind all the scheming is revealed, there will be justice. And it won't be pretty.

Wisteria Warned is book 2 of the Daybreak mini-series featuring Zara Riddle and Detective Bentley working together, solving local crimes. It is the ninth novel set in the world of the Wisteria Witches Mysteries and, as of publication, the latest on the Wisteria timeline. This book is centered on Zara Riddle's point of view, with some bonus sections featuring other favorite characters. Fans will love all the series questions that get answered, not to mention the juicy secrets revealed in this audiobook. Never before has so much trouble been unsealed!

A satisfying magical mystery

Zara Riddle is a powerful witch, an amazing librarian, and the protectee of a detective turned vampire. When Detective Bentley gets a call to investigate the disappearance of Veronica Tate, Zara discovers that her daughter’s hellhound friend, Corbin, has also disappeared. The person who called in the missing person, Temperance Krinkle, claims to have psychic abilities. The disappearance appears to be linked to her creepy dollhouse, which held doll replicas of the missing. When more dolls appear in the dollhouse, the two worry that two others may also go missing. Is Temperance for real? Can Zara and Detective Bentley solve the case? What happened to Veronica and Corbin? Narrator, Tiffany Williams pulls the listener into the story with her unique voices for each character. Her masterful storytelling matches pace with the author’s mixing of romance and mystery. Humor is blended into the well-developed plot with ease and makes the story more accessible for listeners. The twists and turns to the mystery adds intrigue and keeps the listener guessing what will happen next. Listeners who enjoy humorous fantasy, mystery, and magic will enjoy this audiobook. Abductions and AIs in Wisteria

This is another quirky and thoroughly enjoyable book in the series. In this one, when her next door neighbour's young son goes missing Zara and her police vampire boyfriend are on the case in this latest Wisteria adventure. Little do they know that there are forces at work that are far beyond their wildest imaginings. If you enjoy witches and shifters and vampires and creatures from another dimension, you'll love this one. I did.

Another fun adventure with Zara...

My comeback to Wisteria was - as all my "visits" there - a real fun; so much so that it kept me listening very late at night - in fact I listened to the whole book in one sitting:) As usual, Zara gets involved in an investigation that turns and twists all the way to the end:) She uncovers secrets, learns things about her friends and acquaintances that surprise her (and us) and she never loses her quirky sense of humour... Her banter with Detective Bentley is what makes the book such a fun, light listen/read:) Interpretation by Ms Williams is fantastic; she adds life to the already energetic story, making the characters shine through her narration. She does voices really well and they perfectly match the characters' personalities. The pace of her reading is also very good - I didn't feel the need to speed it up:) DISCLAIMER: I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

SUMMED UP IN A WORD: PERFECT

WISTERIA WARNED is the second book in the Wisteria Witches Mysteries – Daybreak trilogy and the ninth in the Wisteria Witches series. Though each story could stand on its own, the series is best enjoyed if you read them all and in the order of release. Nine books into this series and it hasn’t lost its charm, wit, appeal, or humor. If anything, they are all increasing. I love these characters and wish I could move to this town! I love the complexities of the stories that keep my mind active and involved. I love all of the supernatural friends and magical shenanigans. I love the on-your-toes action and the maybe-they-will-maybe-they-won’t romance. I love these stories. In this one, Zara and Detective Bentley are working together. For a change up in the action, there was no ghost mucking up Zara’s habits, but there was plenty of her daughter Zoey and Ribbons the Wyvern to keep me smiling. It was fun and suspenseful – light hearted and serious. It was perfect. Narration: Tiffany Williams is one of the best audiobook narrators available. Her “theater of the mind” skills are honed to perfection and I often forget that I’m supposed to be terrified of driving while I’m listening to an Angela Pepper story read by Tiffany Williams. That is a blessing on her and for me. Note: While I received this book as a gifted audiobook copy, my opinions are my own and are given freely. Title: WISTERIA WARNED Series: Wisteria Witches Mysteries #9, Daybreak #2 Category /Genre: Paranormal Cozy Mystery Recommended for: 14+ due to vocabulary Listenability: OK for ears Received from: Angela Pepper (as an Audible gifted copy)

Another winner

I loved this latest Zara adventure, which wraps up several long-lasting plot lines, including Chet and Chessa, what’s up with Codex, and most importantly—will Zara get a real love interest? It leaves plenty of plot for future adventures and I am intrigued by the way Zara’s family drama continues. If you’re a fan of the series, you definitely won’t want to miss this one.

I loved it

I particularly loved this audiobook. It had all the things I like so much about this series - the characters, the humour, the snark (especially between Zara and Zoe - have I mentioned how much I love their relationship), the mystery and the magic. It was not easy to see what was going on with this story, but the conclusion was so, so satisfying, the culprit was someone I’ve long found creepy! I can’t say any more without spoilers. The narration from Tiffany Williams was absolutely spot on, as always. She takes an excellent, enjoyable book, and raises it to a whole new level. I also didn’t find Zara’s father’s accent (I’ve forgotten his name) as irritating this time around. I’m unsure if it’s just that there’s so little of it, or I was just less irritable, or whether it’s actually changed. This series just gets better and better, I definitely recommend it, and specifically enjoying it via the audiobooks.

Exciting read. i love how this story went.

Love this series , narrator in Zara's stories are the best. it would be nice to have a little more spicy romance for her, but that is not what it's about. it seems that with each murder has something to do with the department. i think there is many unanswered questions at the end of this book. looking forward to book10

Ok but feels like a chapter not a book!

The narrator needs to stop trying to do Irish and English accents; it’s so bad it distracts from the story. Sadly this is the weakest book in the series so far. I kept waiting for the exciting bit but it was just dull, predictable and failed to engage me. It felt like the author stopped trying.

Loads of fun

I'm really enjoying this series.A strong point is the character development. They are all very endearing and you can't help but feel part of their world. There's loads of humour and witty lines that had me laughing. The mystery was fun and kept me entertained. I enjoyed the narration and I'm looking forward to reading the rest of this series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reading audio copy.
