He doesn’t know what she’s on about, but he’s not about to let himself get caught up in her shenanigans. He has other problems to deal with right now.
The gauntlet has been thrown; Eryk has challenged Grant Leucht to compete with him in the annual Spiritualist Grand Tournament, but Grant has decided to make sure Eryk doesn't live long enough to even participate.

I’d say perhaps when something crops up to warrant a flash back do one to explain why he has a certain feeling or emotion toward something, rather than just have one at the start or end of a chapter
All in all I’d say 4/5 for this series I don’t like the fixation on Kari but to each their own
