The story, characters and power system grow and get better with every book and this is the same for this book. I don't ever write reviews but I just love this series.

when the book started, I felt like it was very slow and read a bit differently to the rest of the series but once it got going it once again delivered 👌

if you have made it this far in the series, then your up for more of the same goodness as the story progresses. I love this writer and of course Nick is excellent as normal.

Enjoyable in that Coren Kadance kind of way of diverting from topic and compounding issues.
Lots of politics in this one it did drain my mental manna a little bit.

Epilogue has introduced the MC as a time travelling old man. As we all know time travel plots are lazy and boring because ultimately they make no sense even when suspending disbelief for high fantasy.

Strong narration though.
