About this listen

Corin Cadence is on the run.

After meeting with the Emerald Council, Corin has made himself some new enemies—most notably the Dalenos Six, a group of the most powerful representatives of the nation of Dalenos.

He's also made a dangerous deal.

A place of safety, if he can reach it. One where he can finally have one of the resources he needs most: time.

But while that strange place may hold the key for Corin to make his final preparations for a long-awaited rescue mission, it also holds hidden dangers. And one final secret tied to the Cadence household. One that could shake the very foundations of everything Corin has been raised to believe.

Another fantastic journey following Corin and Co. An excellent addition to the series and a fantastic set-up for the finale.

It's crack, in book form.

The only downside is the length on the book however I'm so hooked on this series that it is in my to 3 all time favourites.

I never want it to end!

I love listening to these, the voice acting is great and the story is a lot of fun.

look, I loved the first 2 books, some of the best new writing in a long time, the third was ok, the remainder just fell like they suffer from middle book syndrome. I'm bitterly disappointed as I have been waiting since Jan for the audiobooks.

But, what do I mean, what was the conflict in this book, family reunion? time/power? a muzuchi? to many threads too loosely tired together. What was outcome / conclusion?

Let me ask this, what was the benefit of the extras; rose, Len, etc how do they improve the book(s)? I feel the last 3 books should undergo the phantom edit approach and maybe shrink them to two.

I'm still looking forward to the next book, please go back to the process that created the first book.
