Publisher's Summary

Thirty-two-year-old Sebastian Vanwell was a very successful yacht broker who always loved the design and architecture of a luxurious boat. His only addiction was being on the water. He loved it, he thrived on it, and he needed it in his life.

After a very stable, loving childhood with only a few bumps, Sebastian married the love of his life, the one person that he knew would always be there. Julia was his rock, and he loved her more than life itself.

Sebastian kept his addiction to the water under control, wanting to keep his time with his wife and son his number one obsession - that was until he saw her. This new addiction haunted him, the one compulsion that he couldn't control no matter how hard he tried.

Ysabelle Telle hit him hard, knocking the wind from his lungs. Coming from worlds apart, beautiful, dark-complexion Ysabelle Telle didn't have the rich, protected background that Sebastian Vanwell had. Ysabelle lived a life of hell, in poverty, growing up with a drug addict mother that never cared and horrific living conditions. Ysabelle lived for one person and one person only: herself. She was pure perfection, her beauty along with a flawless body had men lined up, driveling over her insuring her success as a VIP.

There are too many words that describe the effects when two diverse worlds like theirs collide. They both have too much to lose to get caught in the forceful pull, which could destroy them both.

Warning: Contains sex, drugs, and mature language. Mature listeners only.

The heart wants what the heart wants

The blurb for this book is dead on; it is not a love story, rather a story about love. Sometimes your head and your heart will want different things, and the heart doesn't always win out in the end. I love how this story started from youth and extended into adulthood. It really helped show why the main characters became who they were and ended up the way they did. It shows how your childhood experiences and relationships shape your entire future.

I attempted 3 different times to read this book but would only get a chapter or 2 in and then stop. I always felt like my heart wouldn't be able to take the story. On the 3rd attempt, I mentally prepared myself to push through and I am so happy that I did. I went on an emotional roller coaster; I laughed, I cried, and I got so angry I could punch a wall. I must say, the only thing that disappointed me with this book was the sudden ending. I feel like it is missing a few chapters at the end. Their story is incomplete in my eyes. I'm sure there is a glimpse of them in the other books but I dont know that the ending did them justice.

The narration was good, I feel it would have been better with dual narration. It was hard at times to distinguish between the POVs because of it, but that is a personal preference for me.

I absolutely loved this book and narrator

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I hadn't heard of this author but my hat is off to M Robinson as she is one gifted writer. She had me from the very start and even though it is 17 hrs long I wanted more. I fell in love with the main characters and you feel like you really know them. I was just hoping for a HEA ending for our hero and heroine but it keeps you wondering until final end. She does a great job of starting from their very beginning and progressing through the years. I couldn't have loved this book more! I usually never review books but I just had to on this one so more people will listen to. It really moves you with loads of emotions.

What was one of the most memorable moments of VIP?

For me the ending but I loved that it wasn't the usual predictable stories that are so common these days.
It is definitely worth more than a credit

What about Sierra Kline’s performance did you like?

She did an amazing job on all the character's voices and brought the story to life for the listeners.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes the final words in the book. I cried with joy for them

Any additional comments?

I will listen to this one again and again for sure as I just couldn't get enough of their story. I have listened to hundreds of books but this is right up there in my top ten of favorites list.

amazing

this book was amazing. though I have read it already Sierra made me love it that much more. she did such an amazing job. M. picked the perfect person to give life to Ysa and Seb. even though there was one person reading the story it felt like all characters had their own voice. so brava to M. for her fabulous writing and to Sierra for her fabulous narration.

Fun and steamy!

I liked this book more and more as it continued. By the end, I didn't really want it to end. I thought the characters were well developed though the dialogue was a little cheesy at times. I'm not sure if it was the narration or the writing but it didn't do much damage, just reminded me that it was fictional.
Yes, there is a lot of cussing, sex talk, and even some drug use. Lots of description. I didn't think it was gross or over the top but I tend to swear a lot myself so maybe that's why it wasn't offensive.
I think the dirty talk was just the right amount, making it super steamy and realistic. The drug scene was very realistic, having tried it myself, I felt the author did a great job conveying the meaning and feeling of the scene without making it over the top.
I very much enjoyed the connection the characters shared. I hope there's a second book... I'll def be on the lookout!

Baby Girl

Would you consider the audio edition of VIP to be better than the print version?

Yes so different then reading. You really get the feel for the characters you picture them more real if that makes sense.

What other book might you compare VIP to and why?

None this is its own unique twist. M.Robinson style is spicy

Which character – as performed by Sierra Kline – was your favorite?

Wow thats hard I like how she made each one there own and she drew you in. I loved her voice

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I DID

Any additional comments?

I think M.Robinson picked an amazing person to read her book. She blew it out the water. Great voice each different for each Character. I just couldnt stop listening to her. Its a whole new experience when you hear someone read it out loud. She did it great justice

The escort and the married man

With love on her fingers and lust on her tongue this seductive vixen finds a man worthy to claim as her own except he comes with one downfall he’s already taken.
VIP was a coming of age story about Ysabelle Telle. She grew up poor, alone, and independent. In order to survive she used her body to seduce wealthy men.

Overall:
It’s interesting what my mind remembers from this book. I read this back in 2014 almost 5 years ago, but for some reason I don’t remember the long introduction with Olivia and Julia.

It has that bait and switch intro that originally grabbed my attention back in 2014. Now that I know the direction of the story and where these characters are headed I’m growing impatient to reach the scenes that I remember fondly.

With the switching back and forth between points of view I confused myself into combining Olivia’s character with Ysabelle’s. I kept thinking the scenes from Olivia’s childhood were Ysabelle having changed her name later in life. I had no idea that Ysabelle was an entirely separate character created for the sake of filling Olivia’s void.

I had a love/hate relationship with Sebastian Vanwell’s character. I respected his commitment to maintaining friendship between the girls, yet I hated how indecisive he was. I wanted him to man up and make a selfish choice instead of waiting for the choice to be made for him.

Narrator:
Sierra Kline was the solo performer of VIP. Her tone was perfect for Ysabelle. However, I envisioned something sexier and raspier for the voice of Madam. Of course I always prefer a male narrator to voice the male characters. In this case, I thought it was imperative that a male narrator with the deep timber voice would have enhanced the performance. That wasn’t the case. I managed to enjoy the scenes with only one narrator.

The sound of Sierra pronouncing words with the “sss” was loud in my headphones. It was piercing listening to the slur of “sss” from each word. The hissing sound was ear piercing.
The power of sex. The customer and the escort.

I had hoped the audiobook performance would enhance my experience considering I waited quite some time to invest in this audiobook. I read the entire trilogy feeling on cloud 9 only to be disappointed by my revisit. It was a combination of the solo narrator performance and the dialogue that had me feelings less than enthusiastic.

Settling for the best friend not realizing more was awaiting. The heart wants what the heart wants. A woman who belongs to no one but herself.
No moral compass
The story didn’t begin to get interesting until the halfway mark when Sebastian and Ysabelle met. It’s at this point that I remember loving the direction of the story. This connection between the escort and yacht salesman was scorching hot.
I sold myself for money. I was at the mercy of whoever purchased my time. Ysabelle gave him perspective in his choices.
One with the emotional connection and the other with the physical
The forbidden lovers belonging to others. Moral dilemma. Escort and the married family man. Angst. All these components made for an exciting read. The best of both worlds.
When you can have your cake and eat it too despite the consequences although nothing comes easy when crossing the forbidden line.
I loved the dual points of view having Sebastian’s thoughts was amazing.
How can something so wrong be so right.
