Another absolute knockout

Will Wight is a god among men. He is on his way to being the best author in fantasy. This series is seriously amazing and I don’t know how he does it. Absolutely everyone I know who has read this series finished the book in a single sitting! Oh what I wouldn’t give to forget the series and binge the whole thing again. A must read!

Was expecting more.

For how much the tournament was built up I thought that there would be more factions and stratergy with a dash of intrigue thrown in. Yet lindons shot was so lame. all it came down 2 was that the opponent was faster, better luck next time.... even the abad9n had to insert itself into his life because how lame that ending was.

Dear Mr. Rowe

That isn't a cliffhanger, that is throwing us off a cliff while saying "long live the king". You made them fight? Fury should have his own series... or just replace lindon with the adventures of fury. Please tell me dross is going to get the fatherly attention he so obviously craves in the next book. Can we have more of Orthos and his blind friend?
In conclusion, mixed happy and angry bell noises.

The Biggest Flaw

The Biggest Flaw with these books, is how short each of them are. It's painful because the story and characters are so compelling, and each books feels like only a brief glimpse into their world. It leaves you ever so slightly disappointed, and ravenously wanting more.

Pace too fast for its own good

Travis Baldree is a master audiobook reader. This man deserves an award and should be seen as equals to Tim Gerard Reynolds and Michael Kramer. However, the book falls short in terms of content. I hope the next one makes up for the terrible way in which the plot moved in this book.

Really Disappointed...

Compared to the rest of the books in this series this one felt incomplete. Normally the books have a complete sub-plot to them while pushing the main story forward. Uncrowned either didn't have that or I was able to catch what the subplot was.

Amazing

Not just this book but all the ones before. What a great series!! Great character arcs, surprising twists and turns to the story. Books I would even let my daughter read since there is nothing more than sexual tension in any of this series. As an avid reader of fantasy, I highly recommend this series!

Keeping it fresh

Voicing is great as usual. My personal favorite is Dross's voice. Author does a great job keeping continuity and always moving the story along with interesting events and occurances. Some people didn't like the fact that there was a cliffhanger, but in a novel where you know there will be more followups...I dont see this as an issue. There is clearly demarction where the author is bringing us into a new arc

I couldn’t stop !

I got the first book as a daily special and quickly purchased all the rest of the books and binge listened until complete. I love this series so much! I don’t usually listen to fantasy and prefer mysteries and thrillers but this series so so amazing!! I can’t wait for the next one.

great writing and reading, half story missing.

The book's writing is still amazing. The reader's performance is very good. However, the Uncrowned story line is missing and the ending is unsatisfying
The writer kept the word count close to previous books but the story abruptly stops during the uncrowned tournament. Fist book in the series that I was disappointed in

Disappointing

This could be the turn point from a fantastic series to a sub par one considering there's still 7 books give or take.

This book failed to bring most of what made the last books great, we didn't get to see the characters grow in power, nor did we feel empowered through them, no plot lines were resolved at all leaving us at a cliffhanger, and not even a new one.

The book is also starting to show critical failures, power buffs and debuffs willy nilly so it could fit the plot, what was once introduced as destructive is now the equivalent of a bb-gun in most encounters.

Can't recommend this to anyone, even fans of the series should stay away until the next book is available. I love the series and I'll try the next book, but if it failed to improve on this one it will be my last in the series.

As always, great performance for the Narrator.

a bit of 'nothing much happened here'

i'll say, I love this series to death, but this latest one felt strangely like a filler arc. linden was beaten relentlessly and it was more than a little frustrating frankly. the pay off after several beatings just wasn't there. most of the book felt like just obstacles that you had to wait out or wade through with no real sense of victory. but, if i'm not mistaken, it was written to set up the next chapter in the story, rather than be a fully realised story of it's own.
hopefully, northstrider will make the next one more interesting and cumbersome. that said, you shouldn't skip this one it has very important plot points. it just seemed a little scattered compared to prevoous books.

How Did a group of jades kill a Sage?

Well, you can stop with that question now maybe?

This is book 7 in the "crack" I mean the cradle series. It is more cradle, more fights, more dross, new people to love and hate. The final fight left me angry, confused, excited, giddy lord who knows what else.

Travis Baldree is great as usual, he is one of the best out there. I read the book and loved it but Travis made this audiobook a feast for the ears. Careful while listening in public, you will bust out laughing but then why will you care while Travis Baldree is carrying you on waves of cradle infused sound madra.

Uncrowned PART 1. Part 2 is still months away.

This is half a book.

Huge cliff hanger.

I hated waiting for this book, and now I have to wait... for the second part.
