ربما هزم غازي في حياته من قبل, مرة واحدة أو أكثر من مرة, وربما لم يحدث ذلك. لكن المؤكد أن الناس لا يعرفون هزيمة لغازي القصيبي, رغم مشواره المليء بالغزوات, أكثر من هزيمته عام 1999 م في معركة اليونسكو.

حين تأسست منظمة اليونسكو, من أجل السلام, لم تكن المنطقة العربية أو أفريقيا أو معظم آسيا وأمريكا اللاتينية حينذاك في حالة حرب, بل كانت أوروبا وأمريكا وبعض الجيوب الآسيوية المناوئة خارجة للتو من حروب وحشية طاحنة, تحتاج معها إلى آلة تساعد على ضبط السلام.

الوضع الآن بات مقلوبا, فالتي كانت تعيش في حرب حينذاك باتت تعيش في سلام الآن, بينما تشتعل الدول العربية والأفريقية الآن بالحروب والأزمات.

أي أننا أحوج إلى اليونسكو الآن منا إليها يوم تأسست, والعكس بالعكس بالنسبة للغرب.

السؤال الآن: هل سيستطيع (المرشح) العربي المنتظر لرئاسة المنظمة في العام 2017 , إنقاذ اليونسكو من الهلاك على أيدي من باتوا في غنى عنها؟!
