بول أوستر سيفعل ذلك في هذا الكتاب" رحلات في حجرة الكتابة" فمن المؤكد وبسبب العنوان بانَّك ستدخل بكامل شغفك لمعرفة سرّ الرجل صاحب الكتب الأكثر مبيعًا كيف يكتب ومن أين يأتيه الإلهام، سيقودك هذا الفضول حتمًا لتغرق مع بطل الرواية العجوز "السيد بلانك" الذي نجده في غرفة لا نعرف ماهيتها، ولا إن كانت تنتمي لسجن أو بيتٍ أو مستشفى أو خلاف ذلك، وبين يديه مخطوط رواية مجهولة المؤلف وألبوم صور وعدد من الشخصيات يظهرون ويدلون بمعلومات إلى هذا العجوز ثم ينسحبون بهدوء!!

إذن هذه الرواية ليست "رحلات" داخل حجرة، كتلك التي يختارها الكاتب لينزوي بين جدرانها، يقرأ ويكتب، ويحتسي فنجان قهوة بين الفينة والفينة، وكذلك يتمشى بين زواياها، مفكرًا، يحاول القبض على الفكرة.. أمام أوراقه البيضاء، لكنه في النهاية حرّ داخل جدرانها...

إنّها رحلاتٌ من نوعٍ آخر !!
