About this listen

The first installment in an international bestselling series starring Madison Knight—a kickass and fiercely independent detective who will stop at nothing to get justice for murder victims.

Detective Madison Knight is still haunted by a cold case when she’s called to a residential neighborhood to investigate a murder. Laura Saunders was found naked in her bed with a man’s necktie wound tightly around her neck. With few personal touches in the house, a framed photograph on the victim’s nightstand seems out of place.

As Madison digs into Laura’s life, she has a gut feeling that photograph may be the key to solving the case even though everyone else tries to convince her to let it go. But just as she’s making some progress, the killer claims another victim.

Heather Nguyen was discovered in a local park strangled with the same brand of necktie used on Laura. In searching for a connection between the women, Madison uncovers a shocking secret that ties the cases together. If she’s right, this killer isn’t finished yet. But can Madison piece all the clues together in time to save the next victim?

A gripping crime thriller full of heart-pounding twists perfect for fans of Lisa Regan, Rachel Caine, and Robert Dugoni.

So aggressive and pointless.
For fiction to work there has to be levels of credibility and this has very few such aspects. The main character is not realistic and fails to step of the page at all. The story is underwhelming in the extreme.
I cannot recommend this book.
