Publisher's Summary

A manifesto of business practices for those who sell ideas and advice, The Win Without Pitching Manifesto lays out 12 steps - in the form of proclamations - that owners of creative businesses can take to distance themselves from their competition, regain the high ground in their client relationships and learn to win business without first parting with their thinking or writing lengthy proposals. The 12 proclamations were written to inspire owners of independent creative businesses (e.g.: design firms and advertising agencies) to rethink how their services are bought and sold. Anyone who sells ideas or advice will find relevance in these teachings.

short but amazing

Amazing insights into my own versus the desired mindset. They call on your designer/creative BS so accurately. I recommend to anyone who wants their agency to be expert and top in the world

Great insights!

This book has very good points on how to position your business and expertise against the marketplace as a high value consultancy. It is leaning towards the creatives, but having that insight into the industry just makes it all the more fascinating.

Very well written and concisely written rules to go by especially in the selling process. There were trinkets of example scenarios of how he would engage with the client. I only wish more of that was infused, but I think that was done purposefully in order for the reader to think for themselves.

Overall, I enjoyed the listen and I will be seeking out more of Blair's work as I found great value on his insights.

Thanks, Chris Do, for this one. A game changer.

Foundational, fundamental, irreplaceably invaluable. Insightfully elucidated by way of a great voice over talent. Recommend!

Insightful and Accurate

What a time to be alive as a creator!!! I love the articulation of various scenarios in the book that are eye opening and that convey frequent "Aha" moments, can't wait to apply these proclamations on my first few prospects. Quantity of clients isn't necessary but he quality is!!! PS: I'll use all the proceeds from the knowledge gained to purchase the sequel, "Pricing Creativity"

Absolute Game Changer

This book is second level thinking. Blair does a phenomenal job of explanation and description of what it takes to be the best. Will listen again and purchased hard copy as well. Narration is world class also. Thank you to both Blair and Shannyn for the information and experience like nothing before.

Highly recommended

Clear, straight to the point and actionable. Definitely worth multiple listens!

The 12 steps are great reminders of how to thrive in this business.

However, this is aimed more towards those who are already experts in their field.

Beginners would probably have a hard time trying to implement these lessons.

This audiobook is short yet powerful. It is easily to comprehend and apply.

Pronouns for Client always automatically “he”

With as much good information as this book possesses, it’s cringe worthy to hear the narrator always refers to hypothetical clients as “he.” Clients are not always (and should not automatically) be referred to as “he.”

strong & concise 👌

Very strong reasoning and logic behind the approach described in this book.

I have found using the analogies and mental models discribed in this manifesto, can really help in convincing colleagues and team members, to adopt a premium service approach to creative services.

Brave but logical

This book was recommended by my employer and I can understand why. Some brave ideas but they actually make sense. Creative agencies have long been bad at making money and rely too much on trying to sell a big idea or giving away expertise.
Would be great to have some more practical examples and guidance bit overall its a good book.

Painfully but delightfully honest.

As a young entrepreneur, this book helped put into context some of tools I've always had in my arsenal to help grow my business but that I rarely used because of the fear of rejection. I proclaim that from here onwards I will begin to implement these proclamations day by day and make use of the power that comes with the confidence in my expertise and my ability to provide value to all my clients.
