وقد فرقت الدكتورة بين الحماية والرعاية وهي أن الحماية معناها سير الطفل وهو ممسك بيد الأكبر منه، أما الرعاية تعني أن يختبر الطفل الحياة بنفسه وأن الأسرة هي التي تضع العمدان الأساسية للطفل حتى عمر أربع سنوات.
