About this listen

Say Goodbye to Insomnia – The highly Effective 5 Week, Drug-free Plan.

Sleep shouldn't be a struggle, but for a third of the population the nightly pattern of tossing, turning and that gnawing frustration is a regular occurrence. The Sleep Book's revolutionary five week plan now means that this will be a thing of the past.

Using a blend of mindfulness and new Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) techniques, Dr. Guy shares his unique five week plan to cure your problems whether it's a few restless nights or a lifetime of insomnia. Most people who have trouble sleeping invest a huge amount of time, effort and money into fixing the problem.

Dr. Guy has discovered the secret lies not in what you do, but what you learn not to do. . . . as the more frustrated you become with sleeplessness the further sleep is pushed away. Dr. Guy's pioneering methods at The Sleep School clinic have been an unprecedented success.

By popular demand, his highly effective and 100% natural insomnia remedy is now here in this book. Say goodbye to the vicious cycle of sleepless nights by retraining your brain to sleep. Sleep well and restore the quality of life you deserve – for good.

Best book on sleep

I've had insomnia on and off since childhood - mostly on. It worsened over the past decade, and became severe after I had my first child nearly 3 years ago. I was also suffering with undiagnosed postnatal anxiety, and had developed a full blown panic disorder around the idea of not sleeping each night. It was the worst time of my life. Before I read this book, I had begun seeking therapeutic and pharmacological treatment for anxiety, and whilst this was definitely helping, my panic-driven insomnia persisted. Literally no medication was strong enough to knock me out when I was having those panic attacks, but practising the strategies presented in this book worked. I had some really dark days, and honestly wondered if I could keep living if so much of my daily energy was going to be absorbed by the fear of insomnia. t seems crazy now! But I'll never forget. I'm writing this review nine months on from listening to the book, and I'm still free from panic attacks and sleeping well most nights. I can even get back to sleep when my toddler wakes me up! I admittedly still take antidepressants which definitely help manage my anxiety, but I wouldn't be where I am today (rested and well) without this book. THANK YOU.

This book helped save my life.

The book is good. It feels like you should really just skip the audio book and buy the app, though as the exercises are hard to remember and aren’t bookmarked in the audio book. Less helpful than I would have hoped for that reason

Solid material but needs bookmarks to exercises
