Story
Dante and Blays have forced Gladdic from the Collen Basin. But the victory might be only the first battle in a much larger war. With the land on the brink of starvation and politically fractured, Dante and Blays scramble to secure Collen's food, borders, and allies. Before their work is done, rumor arrives from Mallon. The enemy is mustering for another attack. Even if Collen can weather the coming storm, there's no guarantee their independence will last out the year.

Story
After a year of fighting across three different lands, Dante and Blays have finally brought Gladdic to justice - and in the process, they've unleashed a horror beyond all reckoning. The enemy is known as the White Lich. He is ancient. He is immensely powerful. And Gladdic believes he will soon enslave all of Tanar Atain. Their only chance to defeat him is to strike fast, before the lich has regained his power. But attacking him directly would be suicide.

The White Lich has conquered Tanar Atain. Soon, he means to take the entire world. Dante suspects his next target will be Bressel, where the Tanarians have established their court in exile. The only chance to stop the lich will be to forge a fragile alliance between the bitter enemies of three different lands: Tanar Atain, Mallon, and Narashtovik. Story
Dante and Blays have a single hope of victory: the Spear of Stars, the long-lost weapon that may be capable of killing the lich. There's just one problem. Though they've learned the spear is real, they've also learned the nine parts of the weapon are guarded by the gods themselves. And they have no intention of handing over their prize. Alone in a strange realm, with no friends or allies, and a growing list of enemies, Dante and Blays' task looks doomed. Yet, they're the last line standing between the lich and the destruction of their whole world.

Young Cally is an apprentice within the most unusual order of sorcerers in the known world: the only one that forbids its members from using their powers to kill. Despite his lowly status, Cally's chosen by the Master of the Order to join a delegation to see their allies the Lannovians. The meeting will be historic: 60 years ago, the Order's enemies attacked them with a host of demons, forcing the Order to trap the monsters inside their own citadel and seal it shut with impenetrable wards. Cally and Rowe have scoured the demonic wights from Narashtovik. But during the war, Cally learned he can no longer be part of the pacifist Order that raised him to be a sorcerer. The pair has traveled south, seeking the true copy of The Cycle of Arawn - the artifact Cally believes can restore proper rule to Narashtovik. There's a few problems with this plan, though. For one, nobody's seen the true copy in decades. And another, in these lands, possessing a copy of the Cycle is rewarded with a quick trip to the hangman.

Dante and Blays the unstoppable magic
The Nether and the Ether ,the two magical forces start to make more sense to Dante Galand and Blays as they make their way through more battles to get to peace back home. A good narration as always and yes maybe next year i will listen again as it is an easy listen and easy to forget some chapters. But thats not a bad thing .It still is a good book in the series and yes I will most likely purchase the next to hear about the Dynamic Duo and their magic possibilities, battles, defeats(ha ha like if all else fails ,run)and meeting new characters along the way but still relating to very early characters, that makes the series stick together.

Soaring above in substance and delivery
Edward W. Robertson continues to produce amazing specitals of fantasy with charavters who you wish you could meet in life. Not just in books. Delivered by the stellar talents of Tim Gerard Reynolds. Who gives these words wings very duck like wings... of a majestic ducky quality. The second book in The Cycle of Galand is another amazing addition to universe that Edward continues to craft and flesh out. In you haven't read this series yet and you are for some reason reading a review for the second book in the second series... well get reading! If you are up to this book and have read all previous works just for the heck of it re read / listen to all of them again. It is worth your time. There are call backs and easter eggs peppered through out and you will enjoy it all the more. Please continue to produce these works Edward and Tim. Please Listen To CYCLE OF ARAWN First...
Any additional comments?
Tim Gerard Reynolds is easily one of the great master narrators on Audible. And this book is well-paced, quippy, and leagues above the average. BUT... please don't let anyone convince you that the GALAND books stand on their own without reading the Cycle Of Arawn first! It's not true. (This happened to me. Don't let it happen to you.) Go back and get the full experience. The conclusions absolutely depend on each other. Do it... but do it right. You'll thank me later.

just keeps getting better and better
This series just keeps getting better and better with every book I couldn't recommend it enough. I can't wait for the next book in the series to see what happens next.

Once again, truly enjoyable!
One of the very best narrators I've ever listened to, and I love the exceptional humour in the characters' dialogue - albeit not quite to the level of The Cycle of Arawn. I'd highly recommend this series to anyone interested in Fantasy!

exceptional.
This entire series has been incredible in every way. including value for money.
the only slight issue in this audiobook is that it sounds slightly tinny. I stopped caring about this as soon as the story started properly.
exceptional.

Another excellent adventure
This book had me on the edge of my seat, I honestly didn't see how Dante could overcome his obstacles in this story. If you were a fan of the cycle of Arawn then this is a must read.
