another great romance by kj charles. Enemies to more but i felt like it it is almost ruined by the narration. The voices and accents are fine but his way of pausing in every sentence like reading a poem sounds so odd. i had to listen on 1.2x to make it even tolerable

Loved the story and characters, but I had to check after I started listening because the narration sounded like bad AI. It was stilted and staccato with annoying phrasing. But there's no denying a good story so I persevered. I will not, however, be buying another audiobook by this narrator.

Loved everything about this. The narration felt stilted at first but once I got used to the narrator’s pacing, it was quite good. The writing was as good as I’ve come to expect from Charles - unerringly excellent command of the language, tender and poignant, and really good fun.

I've read/listened to a number of KJ Charles mm novels of late. Not all are great for me. This one was a struggle and I gave up. It could get better, and I wish I could have it narrated by Cornell Collins, who's excellent at his calling. This narrator is un bearable to listen to. Stilted, off key, jarring, just plain infuriating. Please please have this redone with the wonderful cool vocal stylings of Cornell.
