Interesting to find out more about their early life - funny scenes particularly the incident with the horses when they meet Albert. Gave more in-depth character analysis of Hadrian and Royce. Narration superb as always

It's kind of heartbreaking reading about Gwen - how she knew who was coming and how she loved him even before he arrived - how she prayed for him. It's just sad because we know what will happen if you have read the books in order of publishing. However, it's inspiring to see the fight in her and you gotta love our heroes coming to the rescue in typical Riyria fashion! Good one!

I cant get enough of Hadrian and Royce, but though the book somehow remains funny and light hearted in places, after reading the other Ryiera novels I am a bit heartbroken for Gwen and Hilfred

the plot for me was obvious because i have listened to revelations first. but if you hadn't there is very little to complain about
