Story
For centuries, the vineyards at Château Renard have depended on the talent of their vine witches, whose spells help create the world-renowned wine of the Chanceaux Valley. Then the skill of divining harvests fell into ruin when sorcière Elena Boureanu was blindsided by a curse. Now, after breaking the spell that confined her to the shallows of a marshland and weakened her magic, Elena is struggling to return to her former life. And the vineyard she was destined to inherit is now in the possession of a handsome stranger.

When Micajah Fenton discovers a crater in his front yard with a broken time glider in the bottom and a naked, virtual woman on his lawn, he delays his plans to kill himself. While helping repair the marooned time traveler's glider, Cager realizes it can return him to his past to correct a mistake that had haunted him his entire life. Story
'Somebody's going to be murdered at the ball tonight. It won't appear to be a murder, and so the murderer won't be caught. Rectify that injustice and I'll show you the way out.' It is meant to be a celebration, but it ends in tragedy. As fireworks explode overhead, Evelyn Hardcastle, the young and beautiful daughter of the house, is killed. But Evelyn will not die just once. Until Aiden - one of the guests summoned to Blackheath for the party - can solve her murder, the day will repeat itself over and over again.

Story
Nothing ever changes in Sanders. The town's still got a video store, for God's sake. So why doesn't Eli Teague want to leave? Not that he'd ever admit it, but maybe he's been waiting - waiting for the traveler to come back. The one who's roared into his life twice before, pausing just long enough to drop tantalizing clues before disappearing in a cloud of gunfire and a squeal of tires. The one who's a walking anachronism, with her tricorne hat, flintlock rifle, and steampunked Model A Ford.

Just no...i'm stunned this made it to published.
I don't review books all that often but this one i just HAD too. If you can get passed the VERY british wiring and the VERY british narration that combine to make it so hard to even understand the story, then the writing will really test you.
The story is given in multiple threads with each thread being centered around a person in a time period or going to/from many, that's not hard to understand or flowow. What is, is when the threads are about the same person, going back and forth in both threads or when a thread starts up just to give you one bit of into with no context.
Add to this the characterization of the conclave and its members had them all acting like borderline sociopaths, had me gritting my teeth in constant aggravation of the implausibility. I found this to be the worst time travel story i have read/listened to in my 40 years and could not even bring myself to finish it.
Now submitting a refund request with Audible.

OMG
I thought I would enough this book but no. To much darting between to many characters in a very strange story. Hard to keep on track and no real ending . Days of retracting the story to follow the line. Promising but not fullfilling

Brilliant
The story has intrigue and depth, but is easy to follow - it’s clever, well thought out, absolutely loved it.
The narrator is extraordinary too, really gave the characters life.

Beautiful Story
A beautiful story, romantic, thrilling, time-travel, murder mystery. Very well written, very well read. I both wanted it to end so I could learn the secrets and didn't want it to end as I wanted more.
Loved it

Very difficult to follow
It may be because I listen to half an hour before I go to sleep but I really found it difficult to follow this story. It jumps from different time periods and to different people . I struggled on with it thinking there would be a reason or purpose but in the end I wondered what it was all for. I really didn't get it.

Confusing TIme Travel Story
I love Time Travel books - but this wasn't one fo them.
Just about between lots of different dates and has quite a few different characters to try and keep track of.
Also is different to other Time Travel books as the people can meet up with their older and younger selves - makes for a confusion.

Confusing
I feel this book would be easier to read than it is to listen to. It jumps around in time (obviously) but it is difficult to keep track of the characters and what time period they are in. If you are reading the story you can flip back and check. That ‘s not easy to do with an audio book

Time travellers coping with knowing too much
A quite interesting take on time travel, in this story about the health risks of time travelling, the emotional burden time travellers may have to carry, and the types of crimes and crime solving involved with time travelling. The novel tells the stories of a group of women, interconnected through different time periods, some travellers, some just trying to cope with time travelling consequences and rules.
