Publisher's Summary
Have you ever wondered what it would be like if you had the ability to influence people? Did you know that there are people who have the knowledge and master persuading or manipulating techniques? If you want to master these techniques, then keep reading.
In everyday life, we come across people, we often realize that there are individuals who manage to get attention; their opinions are accepted and really followed. And it often happens to you that when you talk, they don't even realize you're in that room.
Before focusing on how you can influence people, you must learn to recognize the techniques some already use. There is a psychology behind all this and you, too, can know it.
Knowing these facets of psychology, but above all how you identify yourself, will help you analyze the big picture of each situation and put you in the position of control to influence others.
The purpose of this audiobook is to let you know:
- How to recognize manipulation
- How to handle manipulation
- How to recognize these techniques, defend yourself, and use them in your favor
- How to influence others
This audiobook talks about all these topics and more. And even if you don't know anything about these topics, it will help you in simplicity to know and recognize these techniques and to be able to use them in everyday life.

Accurate in it’s information though difficult to follow
I don’t often read or rarely ever use Audible. Decided to start with this book because I wanted to learn more about psychology for my advantage. I decided it would take me far less time to us audible than to actually read.
The main thing I could get out of this book overall is to keep asking the extremely detailed questions. Relevant, and challenging. That’s the key. So I am actually to write more questions in my FOI’s to Chief Health Officers. Overall I believe the book is accurate but not per se fun or easy to read and follow.

meh
This book is very monotonous and hard to follow. It is presented as a list of lists.

Book of Lists
I don't claim to know more than the authors however, I was a national sales leader for a Fortune 500 company, a sales trainer/consultant for a Fortune 100 company, NLP Master Practitioner and a tenured college professor of communication so I am familiar with the topic of persuasion. The material comes at you like a Gatling Gun. If you are looking for a book of lists this is it. I'm not saying this is bad material, it's the way it's presented. Because of the lack of real life examples and/or being to general, knowing how to apply the material to one's own life misses the mark. Audible member.

Grateful book!
The author's way of speaking is at first difficult to follow, but her clarity of thought and beauty in expressing it makes the effort worthwhile. I admit to re-listening a paragraph, even a page (or two)) to fully understand her viewpoint and it's imported. She reinforces my belief there are still those that believe Nobility is not a right, it is an obligation.

I adore this book. Recommended!
Gorgeous edition of my favorite author's book. If you're an author's fan but have never listen to this book, you owe it to yourself to listen to it now. The story and characters are wonderful, and the book contains quite possibly the romantic proposal I've ever listen to in my life.

Wow great listen book
This one is considered a classic in its field, and I found it to genuinely be a very good listen, particularly from my perspective as an old HUMINTer. I mean, when you get down to brass tacks, interrogation, interview, debriefing, and managing human sources are all conducted via forms of manipulative human communications - which is many ways can be similar to the psychological approaches used in marketing or by con men.

Very useful book
For selling, it provides insight into the mind of the customer. It’s not intended for malicious intent; in other words “Jedi Mind Tricks”. But, I identified with the principles and theories behind effectiveness of communication, and expressing intent.

I really love this book
This is a phenomenal book, but like most, it’s overly long. This is my second time listening it in its entirety and I’ll definitely listen it again but I must say, I’m extremely happy they put summaries at the end of each chapter.
