Enjoyable read

I enjoyed this book and the fantastic narration! I have read The French Photographer by the same author (which I really enjoyed) and found some similarities with the books, especially the 'tragic' love story. Still, a very pleasant read with a bit of a twist.

Beautiful sad love story ravaged by the reality of war

Tears of joy, hope, sorrow and the beauty of love and friendship in the most harrowing depiction of war. May we always remember so as to never return.

Mesmerising and so very poignant!

This story had such suspense that only unfolded at the very end. The people and story line although fictional drew a parallel to many a possible real life story as war in its despicable nature weaves many a fantastic tale. I loved every aspect of this story! Jacqui Of Queensland Australia

Heartbreakingly Wonderful

The Paris Secret is an unforgettable story about the lengths people go to protect one another, and a love that, despite everything, lasts a lifetime. Natasha Lester never fails to produce a magnificent read, and has become one of my favourite authors hands down. The Paris Secret is a very engrossing novel, it’s a heartbreakingly gorgeous dual timeline story about love, sacrifice and hidden secrets. I found it hooked me in and kept me engaged. It broke my heart, and had me in tears and when I finished it I had to sneak a cuddle with my baby girl holding her just a little tighter. I loved too the way D’Arcy from “The French Photographer” was written into the story, it made me happy to know she’d married and had kids, twins none the less! Even though the to books are standalone I do love a crossover! Like Natasha’s other novels this has been well researched and beautifully put together. I would recommend this book to anyone especially lovers of historical fiction. The narrators have done a wonderful job bring the story to life via audio, couldn’t recommend this more highly!

Very moving and totally absorbing

This is the second book by Natasha Webster that I have read. The story is tragic and joyous in parts - a celebration of women and their roles in WW2. It had me scrambling to see what was real ( certainly all the places existed) and I am sure has been impeccably researched. It brought home the incredible destruction to people lives and countries that Ww2 caused and the gap between then and now. Performance was excellent - narrator perfectly matched to the characters and the story.
