Nice 'The Bachelor' Fix between seasons
If you like: Marian Keyes, Beth O'Leary, Sarra Manning
If you're in the mood for: chick lit, light romance, reality tv
I have to admit I haven't watched every season of the Bachelor, but I have definitely been sucked into watching every episode in the season's that I do. A 'Bachelor in Paradise' season ended just last week and a new Bachelor started right away. This time the Bachelor is a fan favourite from last year's Survivor, so I'm definitely hooked. You still with me? Back to the book, right, so last week when I was in the mood for some light reading I thought this one looked interesting, especially since I'm in middle of a Bachelor frenzy at the moment.
This book has 3 heroine's who are all interconnected to the filming of the current season of 'The One'. We slowly get to know them all and the potential of their various love interests.
Easy reading, light romance, perfect for when you're in the mood for some Chick lit!

Beautiful Aussie Story. Fresh & Exciting!
I am not one to watch reality TV nor read romance novels, but I loved this book! The story of Penelope, Darcy and Bonnie and their diverse involvement in "The Bachelor-esque" reality TV show was a roller coaster ride of laughs, tears and feels. I still giggle to myself when I recall a lustful moment in the front seat of a car interrupted abruptly when the car's horn is unleashed by a wayward elbow. I literally could NOT put this book down, binging since its release (2 days ago!).
With this her debut novel, talented Aussie author Kaneana May has shown us she's "the one" to watch! I can easily see myself curled up with my wife on a " trackies, takeaway and wine" date night, to watch this wonderful story in movie adaptation.

Couldn't finish it
Gave this book a decent listen, only had 4 hours left but gave up. Terrible narration which made it hard to follow and stay interested. The narrators expression of emotion when talking was cringey.

Felt like I was listening to teenage fiction
I like to try and support australian writers, unfortunately I couldn't listen to this it was like listening to an episode of a trashy TV show. Apologies I don't often leave a bad review but this was not for me and the narrator also didn't help... book returned...
