Excellent!

Excellent book. I like the Christian perspective and the fact that Zig has experience with his own children. Very positive perspective in all the books I've read by him. I was already a Zig fan but really liked this one the best!

Only in a perfect World

I liked this book don't get me wrong. I appreciated the ideals and the premiss of it. I struggled with the perfectionist portion of it, a little disconnected from present times. Felt like something out of Leave it to Beaver. I took away and applied what resonated and released the rest. Because thats all you can really do. Good book overall.

Old school beliefs

A lot of his books in audible are old tapes from the 80’s and early 90’s and the beliefs are old traditions based from the Bible. While it would be nice to raise a squeaky clean child it just is not relevant in todays society and a bit unrealistic. This is good basis and provides insight and scripture on raising good kids on Christian values.

An informative listen

In the main I enjoyed this book. The author provides an enjoyable listen with his speaking manner. There is a large focus on religion which isn’t for me and I’d have likely not purchased if I’d known that. In saying that the premise of trying to do better through his dedication to “the lord” was obvious throughout and was positive. I am happy to take what I like and disregard what isn’t for me, in that there were lots of great pieces of information provided by way of research related info, quotes and tips, however this author condones spanking and that is not for me.
