ذات ليلة ممطرة تقع حادثة سرقة بسيطة في منزل صديقة لوزة ويستطيع سكان العمارة القبض على اللص الذي يتحدَّث الإنجليزية، ليحضر الشاويش "علي" لاستلامه

في تلك الأثناء يحضر تختخ ولوزة إلى موقع الحادث من أجل المتابعة ولكنّهما يتفاجئان بأن المكان خالٍ والناس كانوا قد تفرقوا والشاويش اصطحب اللص إلى مركز الأمن.

في طريق العودة يعثر تختخ ولوزة على الشاويش علي مصابًا بعد أن ضربه أحدهم من الخلف وأنقذ اللص وهرب، لم يعرف الشاويش علي من الذي ضربه حتى أنّه لم يتذكر بأنَّ أحدًا سواهما كان في الشارع أو ملاحظته لصوت خطواتٍ قادمة، ولم يذكر سوى سماعه لنباحٍ غريب.

لكن كانت المفاجأة وبداية اللغز العجيب عندما عثرت لوزة مكان الحادث على سلسلة مفاتيح فضية تحتوي على ثلاثة مفاتيح وعليها شعارٌ غريب جعل أنفاس تختخ تتسارع وهو يتمتم قائلًا: شيءٌ غريب...كلب ذو رأسين!!

فما هو هذا الكائن الخرافي العجيب؟ هل هو حقيقة؟ أو خيال اخترعته المغامرة الصغيرة لوزة؟ مهما كان فإنَّ تختخ يجد نفسه مطالبا بأن يحل هذا اللغز العجيب.. ثم ينضم إليه باقي المغامرين الخمسة . وتبدأ المفاجآت.
