Publisher's Summary

The paradox of awareness is very profound and yet very simple. It can't be described because it has no objective qualities and no limitation. Sometimes it comes naturally to the surface when we are fully in the present moment and no longer lost in thought or mental projections. Pure consciousness is neither high nor low, neither pleasant nor unpleasant, neither good nor bad. No matter where we are, no matter what we are doing, we always have an immediate access to that inner stillness. It can be experienced in an instant in all circumstances once we know how to pay attention to it. It is utterly peaceful and it is also insightful, so it sees through all illusions. Whenever there is a moment of being deluded, we can use that moment to practice settling in the very perfect sphere of the Buddha mind without trying to change anything. When we reside in that liberated mind, we find the very thing we have been seeking all along.

The real thing - Come and see it!

I'm going to listen to this again and again - perhaps I may not have too! After first listening, I'm convinced this guy has the goods. He is an expert pointer. I figured out most of this in the last 10 years especially. I had to put all the jumble of teachings into context. There are many misconceptions in Buddhism and Spirituality generally. Also many authors cannot convey their insights effectively. This book will put it all in perspective. Price is great too !

This really does deliver and much more .

The Magic of Awareness is , without a doubt, the most beautiful , succinct , and gentle explanation of what it means to be enlightened I have ever come across . An absolute treasure to be savoured over and over . Here there is no attempt to dazzle or confuse the listener with convoluted intellectual proofs of the nature of existence but an immediate and profound joy of the wonder of it all . Thank you Anam.

Incongruent narration

I tried many times to listen to this book. I realised the style of narration clashed with any spiritual wisdom I could only guess was contained within. Whereas the style was professional and would suit other material well, in this instance a te-recording with a compatible narration style would make listening to this audiobook accessible.

Very Satisfying

This review is for both books: 'No self no problem' and 'The Magic of Awareness'
Really loved it, couldn't put it down, which is rare for me! He spoke directly to my heart, to what I needed to hear, and so clear and graspable!! It felt ver Thankyou Anam! And even though I would like to hear it from Anam Himself in his own voice which transmits the vibration of his level of consciousness directly, I really appreciated the voice and performance style of Fred Stella very much, Thankyou Fred for doing such a fine job and having such a pleasant voice!

Basic Buddhism in simple English

When listening to this one must keep in Ming that the rhetoric dialogue is strongly Buddhist in nature.
It gives an conceptual idea of how things may be within the mindset of this paradigm.
Interesting...... I'd say " Yeah but Na"

Boring, and all airy fairy theory.

This is not a how to in becoming more aware, instead it pounds on for 14 chapters on what it means to have the different levels of awareness and in such a monotone boring way, I am surprised I even listened to the end.
