همس (لوني) في أُذن صديقه هكذا في خبث، فنظر (ديفيد) نحو (ريماس) وهي تقترب منهما في اهتمام، وعندما رأى السلسلة الذهبية حول عنقها والمتدلي منها صليب صغير، ابتسم وهو يهمس لصديقه:

- جميلة... لكن عندي في الكتاب مُلهِمَةٌ مثلها.

التفت (لوني) إليه غير مصدقٍ :

ابتسم الاثنان وردا عليها معاً : "صباح الخير"

تابعت (ريماس) طريقها حتى وصلت إلى نهاية الممر، وعندئذ قال (ديفيد) مبتسماً :

- أعجبني اسم شيطان العِشق هذا يا (لوني)..

سأتذكره عندما أنهي الفصل الأخير من الكتاب !!"
