Thank you Dr. Jessamy Hibberd for finally putting a name to this devastating illness that’s robbed me of being my true self for far too long. May God’s Peace and Blessings Be Upon You and Your Family and all who suffers as I.

Very Powerful Insight!

The first night I listened to this I played the first chapter for my mom and niece. I told them, this was me and asked them to just listen for 10 minutes so because I thought it might help them understand me. I watched both their heads sink as they found themselves in this book too. I was insecure my whole life. It did help me build a great business and nearly destroyed my marriage. It freeing to be able to acknowledge it and let it go.

The book that is perfect for feeling okay within your skin

You know when you read the bible or whatever you believe in and it gives you a sense of peace? This book did that to me but instead it was backed by science. Peace in the areas of career, work, and daily activities.

We put so much pressure to ourselves to do more. And we are not machines. Our bodies shoes us this too when we get anxiety, can’t sleep, breathing shallow or eczema. We should listen to our bodies and change our approach to the ways mentioned in “The Imposter Cure”.

Dr. Jessamy Hibber save me from myself by writing this book and by making it available on audible. I am forever thankful. I have recommended the book to several people.

What I liked the most? Everything. What comes to mind is an example she gave about taking credit. Something along the lines; When you cook a meal you just don’t mention that you made it with salt or pepper only. It took more than that to make it. So we need to look at the whole picture and own all the hard work we have done to be where we are.

We’ll captured

I really loved this book. It went into detail on some of the things about imposter syndrome that we feel and our response mechanisms which were so true. I appreciated the advice on ways to deal with it, very practical. I anticipate to re-listen to many of these chapters as I continue to deal with issues around imposter syndrome.

Groundhog Day

Save your pennies, the same thing is related over and over again until you can no longer stand it.

I learnt more from Googling the term.

A long overdue wake up call

Absolutely loved it, and realise it was long overdue. I now have a much better understanding of the Imposter Syndrome and how it has been impacting me for a very long time so I am ready to take all I have learnt from this book and move forward out of my comfort zone confidently. Easy to listen to, and great content. Thank you!

Spot on - sensitive, informed, so helpful

Wow. What a brilliant, brilliant book. The best there is out there on the subject. The author captured my attention from the very start, it was as though she was talking to me about me. I have read so many books to help me overcome my silent and secret pain of feeling not good enough and working myself to the ground to reach my achievements, all the while feeling inadequate. This book helped me to stop and take stock. The author was compassionate, informed and provided helpful insights, not condescending like some self-help books out there, it was as though she was guiding me step by step in a safe and sensitive way to get to the root of my imposter syndrome and it all resonated with me. I waited a week to write this review because I wanted to see if it made any difference and there were a few notable changes in me that I have seen this week: I didn't get palpitations just opening my mouth and expressing my views on a conference call while working from home. I didn't panic over a looming deadline . I feel confident to ask for a payrise which I have been avoiding for some time. This would not have happened if I had not listened to this audibook. I'm so grateful to the author for sharing her knowledge and her willingness to help so many of us to manage this debilitating condition. If Dr Jessamy is reading this, I cannot express my gratitude to you enough. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU. Please continue to write/record more audiobooks on this (imposters are so overworked, audiobooks help to reduce excessive screen time ;)).

Well-read and easy listen

Written by a psychologist with lots of experience and stories to support the theory. A useful listen.
