I chose this book because I was previously ignorant of the whole story and wanted to learn what I feel now is a more balanced view of the history than that generally spoken about. If the whole world read this book I believe the struggle for peace between Israel and Palestine would become a reality.

This is a no nonsense, factual book, seemingly devoid of nostalgia and ideology. For anyone who wants a truthful perspective on the 100 years of torture inflicted, by the collective west, on these poor people this is the book.

This book is a must for everyone interested in the Palestinian issue which has impacted one way or another just about everybody living on planet earth today (21st Century). No one can discuss the issue impartially without understanding all the facts presented.
The reader did a splendid job, though I wish there was announcement before each chapter and perhaps a title and brief description.

This book is extremely well written & researched. The footnotes are extensive & I have learnt so much about Palestine & its enduring fight for identity, dignity & liberation. Many people say this topic is complex & that they don't know enough to comment. This book shuts down any excuse one may have about not knowing enough to speak on the issue. The personal stories shared by the author further humanise the reality of what Palestinians are subjected to & the influence of both foreign & domestic policies on Palestine & the surrounding regions. I am left educated & frustrated at how many individuals, institutions & nations have failed Palestine. I highly recommend this book, both the audible version & hard copy.

This audiobook is well presented, well researched and deeply impactful. If you want to understand the "instability in the middle east" then this book will provide you with the history you need and the context for what is happening now.

Learning of the plight of the Palestinians is something that will change you forever. But hearing just how many times they, as a people, have been abused, displaced, slaughtered & betrayed is devastating.

I found this book to be insightful, captivating, historically correct and engaging. The personal story of the Author and their family adds to the overall credibility of the book, and provides good listening.

Definitely recommend.

Prior to listening to this, I was somewhat a supporter of Israel, thinking them to be the oppressed. But wow! I was so wrong! Anyone who has even a vague interest in what is happening in Israel/Palestine should read or listen to this! Very credible author who has himself lived through the Israeli occupation & brutal activities and had family involved all the way back to the early 1900s (before the creation of Israel). He has a very solid knowledge of the true history of the region, not just the Israeli propaganda we are meant to believe. Certainly changed my opinion of Israel & of the USA, Britain, France & other Arab enabler countries who support Israel.
