Story
Why won’t God reveal his special will for my life already? Because he doesn’t intend to.... So says Kevin DeYoung in this punchy book about making decisions the godly way. Many of us are listening for the still small voice to tell us what’s next instead of listening to the clear voice in scripture telling us what’s now.

Story
Grace - a doctrine central to the gospel - ought to be clearly defined so it can be celebrated, relished, and consistently defended. In this book, Kevin DeYoung leads us back to the Canons of Dort, a 17th-century document originally written to precisely and faithfully define this precious doctrine. The Canons of Dort stand as a faithful witness to the precise nature of God's supernatural, sovereign, redeeming, resurrecting grace - when so many people settle for vague generalities that water down the truth.

Books about prayer usually emphasize spiritual discipline, but that can foster more guilt than reassurance. Story
The Christian life is a process of growing in holiness, our natural response to the good news of our redemption in Christ. This kind of growth is gradual, and obstacles are plentiful. Thankfully, we don't have to go it alone. God has given us his Spirit so that we can overcome temptation and become more and more conformed to the image of Christ. But how does the Spirit work? What is the nature of our own personal involvement in the process? And how do we know if we are making progress?

Story
Modern culture is increasingly outspoken against a biblical understanding of what it means to be a woman. Even some Christians, swayed by the LGBTQ+ movement, have rejected God’s word on issues of sexuality and gender in favor of popular opinion. In light of these pressures, it’s more important than ever to help women see the truth about who God created them to be. In this powerful book, Rosaria Butterfield uses Scripture to confront 5 common lies about sexuality, faith, feminism, gender roles, and modesty often promoted in our secular culture today.

Story
Reconciling the existence of God and evil has been a long-standing conundrum in Christian theology, yet a philosophical approach—rather than a theological one—dominates the discussion. Turning to the Bible's grand storyline, Scott Christensen examines how sin, evil, corruption, and death fit into the broad outlines of redemptive history. He argues that God's ultimate end in creation is to magnify his glory to his image-bearers, most notably by defeating evil through the atoning work of Christ.

Story
How can we persevere through persecution? First-century Christians wrestled with this question. They were often harassed, slandered, beaten, and ostracized for their faith. As they endured these difficult circumstances, we can imagine their joy upon receiving two encouraging letters from the Apostle Peter. No stranger to suffering, Peter likely penned these letters while in a Roman prison just before his martyrdom. In this volume, Dr. R.C. Sproul takes us through Peter’s epistles line by line.

Story
How would you like to fight an enemy who, just as you have him on the ropes, always evades the final blow? An enemy who hides just out of reach, lulling you into a false sense of security, until he drops from nowhere onto your back? That's the advantage of indwelling sin - it lurks in an unsearchable fortress where you can't get to it. But if God has redeemed us from sin - and given us his Holy Spirit to sanctify us and give us strength against sin - why do we go on sinning?

Publisher's Summary
The "hole in our holiness" is that evangelicals don't look particularly holy, and despite the flood of gospel-centered discussions, there seems to be a greater focus on personal depravity than on the pursuit of holiness. Looking to right the balances, Kevin DeYoung presents a popular-level treatment of sanctification and union with Christ, helping readers to see what matters most - being like Jesus. He shows how one can be like Christ in being joined to Christ.
The market is ready for DeYoung's timely book, ready to avoid legalism and ambivalence, and they are ready for someone to articulate the inextricable relationship between grace and holiness.

Excellent audiobook on holiness!
Gospel-centred, easy to listen to and informative book on holiness. The author is honest in all what he says on these Biblical truths. Lots of material included in this book wasn't new to me but it was really good to be reminded. I am sure I will come back to it again to re-listen it more than once. There are lots of things to ponder on now after having listened to it. I am also greatly encouraged now to pray for holiness in churches, for people around me and more than anything- for my own holiness.

Absolutely true and depressing
What can I say. I made it two thirds of the way through the audio book. Much of this is absolutely true (perhaps not enough focus on what of the OT made it through the cross and what didn’t). But it just depressed me. And I’m a Christian of 40 years and an evangelical senior pastor of 33 years.
Maybe it’s just me?

Biblical, heartfelt, honest and practical
A great introduction to this vital topic. To be holy is to be like Jesus and to love God is to want to be holy. It is the Spirit's work to make us holy, but this does not negate our effort.
The reader is easy to listen to but occasionally I think he makes some pronunciation errors such as 'predicted' for 'predicated'.
