"عربة الأموات" روايةٌ عجائبية يروي أحداثها أربعة أشخاصٍ هاجروا من السودان للعمل في الرياض، وقد ساقتهم مصائرهم البائسة التي يشترك بها معظم المهاجرين إلى العمل في ظروفٍ تختصم مع كل ما هو إنساني!

أبطال روايتنا الأربعة هم: السائق فضل الله(سائق عربة الأموات) والدكتور مكي (طبيب مساعد اختصاصي) والصادق سليمان (موظفٌ في القصر) وأيمن فخري( صحفي علماني متمرّد)...هؤلاء هم من يشكّلون مربع السرد في الحكاية إذ أنّهم في تشابكهك وافتراقهم السرديّ ينسجون خيوط الحكي الفانتازي التي يُمسك بأحد أطرافها "غرابٌ" ناطق يرمز إلى ضمير الراوي الحي ويذكرنا بغرائبيات كافكا في رواياته..

منذ اللحظة الأولى للرواية ينفتح السرد على المأساء التي تخيّم على كلّ شيء وذلك عندما ينفتح الباب الخلفي لعربة الأموات كاشفًا عن جثثٍ في طريقها لمقابر المجهولين في الرياض..من هنا تبدأ الحكاية وتسوقنا من كارثةٍ إلى أخرى أخرى عبر حبكةٍ درامية محكمة تستوي على ثلاثة أعمدة هي الموت والدين والجنس لكنّها لا تزال تردّد وتؤكّد أن كلَّ شيءٍ محكوم بالموت والضياع!!
