A bit long winded
I had to skip parts of description. It was tiresome that my friends, the characters, had to be excavated from underneath a flowery analogy for every single thought, sight or deed. Enough analogies to sink a ship. I didn’t need to hear so much of the mundane interrupting the tales of threat, murder and gold.
For all that, I do love the characters and the narrator has a fine clean voice.

Great story.

Great read if you have the time and patience
I found the first half of the book difficult in that the story was not going anywhere and a lot more editing would have greatly improved the story. There was a lot of wasted text on trivial scenes that I personally found unnecessary (I did read the book and then switched to the audio version.)
However, after that the story kept me captivated and look forward to the next book.

The 5th Book - great like the rest.
If you enjoyed listening to the 4th book, I recommend continuing on to this one. If you have watched 4 seasons on the television show and want to listen to this book to find out what happens next, I recommend listening to books 1, 2, 3 and 4 first. The story is more in depth than the television show can provide. The story often varies too.
The first "day" in this book feels like it goes on forever, but stay patient, it does eventually end.
