I had to skip parts of description. It was tiresome that my friends, the characters, had to be excavated from underneath a flowery analogy for every single thought, sight or deed. Enough analogies to sink a ship. I didn’t need to hear so much of the mundane interrupting the tales of threat, murder and gold.
For all that, I do love the characters and the narrator has a fine clean voice.

Outstanding story and excellent narration. Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Cannot wait to listen to more books by this author and Davina Porter as narrator.
