Publisher's Summary

Number-one New York Times best-selling author Diana Gabaldon returns to her Outlander universe in The Space Between, an irresistible novella brimming with adventure, history, and suspense - and available for the first time as a standalone audiobook.

Joan MacKimmie is on her way to Paris to take up her vocation as a nun. Yet her decision is less a matter of faith than fear, for Joan is plagued by mysterious voices that speak of the future, and by visions that mark those about to die. The sanctuary of the nunnery promises respite from these unwanted visitations...or so she prays. Her chaperone is Michael Murray, a young widower who, though he still mourns the death of his wife, finds himself powerfully drawn to his charge.

But when the time-traveling Comte St. Germain learns of Joan’s presence in Paris, and of her link to Claire Fraser - La Dame Blanche - Murray is drawn into a battle whose stakes are not merely the life but the very soul of the Scotswoman who, without even trying, has won his heart.

Nice story, too short.

Enjoyed, but as it was very short should not be the same price as a full book.

You need this!

Besides the comfort of Davina’s missed voice since all the Outlander books are complete, this provides some extra information that you need!! Loved it.

Sweet novella

I think you'ld have to be familiar with the Outlander series before understanding the background of some of the characters. It rekindled my interest and I'll have to go read Claire and Jamie's exploits in France.

Great listen!

Diana has a way with words and Davina has it with narrating. Wished it was longer!

An intriguing tie-in of magic and mystery

Welcome back to the Count and the Toad! Following two minor characters from the main Outlander universe (Jamie's nephew and his step daughter) this novella is set in France and sees a return of Claire's magically inclined nemesis (the Count) and ally ('the Toad'). I loved this short story and wanted MORE! The various magics of the characters keeps unfolding, hinting at the hereditory nature of time travel and healing as set out in the main series. A good read for any Gabaldon fan

The Story Continues

Such a beautiful insight into what was happening whilst Jaime and Claire were carrying out their lives.

Ended too soon.

Too short! Very good, but left me wanting to hear more of Joan and Micheal's story.

Love DG’s bulges. The extra outlander books

Diana Gabaldon remains my favourite author of all time. I always feel like I am inside her characters
