About this listen

The first book in the bestselling zombie horror series from the author of Young Bond.

Lord of the Flies with zombies, filled with tons of nail-biting action!’ Rick Riordan, author of the Percy Jackson series

Every time he thought they’d gone, he heard them again. Searching for him.

The sickness struck everyone over fourteen. First it twisted their minds. Next it ravaged their bodies. Now these zombies roam the streets, crazed and hungry.

In a destroyed London, the young hide in gangs, scavenging to survive, but with little hope for the future. Until rumours of a safe house travel across the city. But to get there they must face the Enemy – the mindless zombies who lie in wait.

Can these kids trust each other long enough to make it out alive?

Don’t miss the next book in this edge-of-your-seat series: The Dead.

I've read this story and the next one so I may be a little baised but I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone who can tolerate a little bit of cringy British Bravado.

I'm disappointed the sequels have not been added.

From an almost monotonous oration to the slow plot development, I could not complete this book. A good concept but an odd execution. My biggest question is why are the adults almost always referred to as mother or father? Typically no in depth descriptions, and while they occasionally are referred to as adults, it’s rather off putting that more often than not they’re referred to as parents.
