سمعت الأميرة صوتًا غريبًا عند نافذة الحجرة فاقتربت منها لترى طائرًا قاتم اللون يدقُّ زجاج نافذتها بمنقاره ويرفرف بجناحيه في الهواء بسرعة، فتحت الأميرة نافذتها فدخل الطائر بسرعة وظلَّ يجوب بالحجرة ويضرب الهواء بجناحيه ثمَّ ما لبث أن خفق بجناحيه خفقةً سريعة وقوية تحول بعدها إلى ماردٍ مخيف!!

فزعت الأميرة حتى سقطت على الأرض من الخوف ثمَّ سألته في صوتٍ متقطع من فرط الدهشة وشدّة الفزع: من أنت؟

أجابها وقد خرج صوته كالرّعد المزمجر: أنا جني الأحلام المستحيلة، أنا أحضر عندما يكون هناك من يتمنى شيئًا ليس في مقدرته أن يحققه لنفسه وحده..

سألته الأميرة: وماذا تريد مني؟

أجابها بسرعة: أنت تريدين مني أن أحقق حلمك المستحيل..

وقفت الأميرة وقد سحرتها كلماته قائلةً: أيعني ذلك أنّك تستطيع أن تجعلني أطير؟

أجابها: أجل ولكن مقابل شيءٍ واحد...أريد تاج والدكِ الملك فقط لا غير !!

هل ستخضع الأميرة لطلبات المارد طمعًا في تحقيق حلمها بالطيران؟ وما سرُّ تاج الملك الذي يصرُّ المارد على أخذه؟
