About this listen

A centuries-old skeleton is discovered in a lonely Scottish Castle. It wears a crown and hides a curse. Swift, the detective friend of Major Heathcliff Lennox, now lives at Braeburn Castle and it was he who uncovered the skeleton. As ghosts are heard and treasure-seekers appear, the murders begin. Lennox must go to Braeburn and investigate as Halloween draws near.

The narrator has a beautiful voice and uses it well. Unfortunately, however, he even uses it in a snapping way even when the characters are not annoyed,

A lot of snapping and irritation

Great story. Funny and at times scary. But this is a lighthearted story with no serial killers. Just love narrator Sam Dewhurst-Phillips. Bring on the next one.

Love this

Another great story from Karen Menuhin...I think I’m falling in love with the lovely Heathcliff Lennox...and I just can’t fault Sam Dewhurst-Phillip’s performance, his ability to lift the characters off the page is superb. It’s like listening to a full cast!

Absolutely loving this series.
