Publisher's Summary

You may be surprised to learn that according to this best seller book by top Australian property experts Ben Kingsley and Bryce Holdaway, you don’t need to accumulate a 10+ property portfolio to create a $2,000 passive income in your retirement. Nor will you need to spend more than 10 hours a week managing your portfolio when you have everything in place.

Sound easy?

Well, that’s why it’s the "armchair" guide.

Of course, when you’ve started your early retirement and are enjoying this level of passive income, you’ll probably spend your time travelling, having fun with family and friends, and enjoying your sports and hobbies rather than sitting in your armchair!

The Armchair Guide to Property Investing is a comprehensive book. Listeners are given all the fundamentals about investing, money, and risk management, as well as the tools to get them started in the first two parts of the book. In the third and final part, the authors share the 18 investment strategies that, in their vast experience, have worked for thousands of their clients - and themselves - over the years.

The last chapter discloses six case studies where you will discover how six very different investors - a young single, a couple who started investing early, a couple who left it a bit late (luckily it’s rarely too late), a single parent, and a couple with no kids - all built portfolios that will deliver $2,000 income in their retirement. And it’s written in plain English and in a friendly style that makes it an easy audiobook to listen to.

No supplemental pdf

the whole audio book refers to a supplemental pdf and that's where the actual strategies are. I don't believe it's attached and I've looked online and emailed them all unsuccessfully to find them. with this I think the book would be really good!

Basic

Didn't really like this book, found it very basic and got no real value from it and I wouldn't class myself as being knowledgeable about property investing. Mostly fluff and filler in my opinion

A brochure for their property advisory business

It was hard to get past the ‘sell’ in this book - sometimes subtle but mostly pretty direct. The basic premise of the book is that property investing is complicated and full of traps for novice investors; you need experts in your corner and these are the many ways that they stand out and why you should chose them. Surely it is reasonable to expect, in a book that we have purchased, that the sell could be left to an appendix rather than throughout the entire book! I still walked away with some ideas and sound reminders but was frustrated throughout that the authors clearly cared about themselves and their own promotion ahead of offering value to the reader.

Frustrating

I found this very frustrating to listen to. Despite promises to share everything you need to know about property investing, they only shared very basic information that could be easily researched on the internet. And every-time it seemed they were on the verge of sharing a true insight, the sentence would inevitably finish with "...and a licensed property advisor can advise you on this." There was really nothing shared that isn't already covered in their free podcasts so I would not recommend purchasing this book to anyone.

Love these guys!

Been following their podcasts for a couple years now and just finished this book! Only wish I read it earlier. These guys break down money management in a simple way and have made me to come to the realization that financial freedom can be a reality !
