Insightful book with complex psychological themes relating to fear and early life, and ultimately processing and transcending them to act with intention and joy. Mel interviewed some of her very courageous patients who shared diverse traumas in front of the microphone. It comes with a good workbook where you can identify and take action your own underlying fears. Some themes were physical violence, emotional abuse, people pleasing, masked identity, fear of failure and an unsatisfied life. I think it's a great resource for anyone looking to do some inner work. Mel speaks in a no bullshit kind of way - it's refreshing and ensures push through denial and avoidance.
