Too shame based for me

The style was a bit too preachy and shaming for me. Perhaps a different narrator might have worked better.

An organized, clutter-free home is a gift to yourself now and later to your family. They will appreciate the ease with which they can assess and distribute your belongings as they celebrate your life through each object. Well written and concise. Clear, calm narration.

Definitely recommend it.

this is a philosophical approach to cleaning out ones belongings via get use of stories about the authors life. it was delightful and comforting. the author offered general strategies to organize ones belongings because we don't take anything with us. another main theme is to clean out so your children won't be overwhelmed, angry and resentful of you but rather, have happy memories of you. kid was the most useful part of the book because it helped me understand the feelings around this taboo subject on Western culture.

Great audiobook

I found this audiobook to be very helpful and practical. I have read books on decluttering but this book really offers a different perspective. It's full of good information and exercises that are easy to put into practice. With the step by step guide you really can make a big difference in just 10 minutes a day! I will be recommending this book to all of my friends! This audiobook was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Most of the effects of this book

I started sifting through my stuff a couple of years ago. I didn't want to leave a mess for my 22 year old granddaughter to go through someday. I puttered with the process so as a result, I'm nowhere near done. Great one. Thank you.

Mostly a great book

Very motivating book to get everything in order before it’s too late. The only part I didn’t like was the chapter on the fear of dying mental disorder. It’s totally irrelevant for anyone buying a book on swedish death cleaning. That chapter could have been put to better use with tips for maintaining a clean and organized home after you have decluttered or the benefits of creating a Will or ??? anything else would have made this book 5 stars.

Worth the price and time

Definitely a worthwhile buy. So often survivors are left with someone else's 'baggage' ... it's a huge burden and puts an asterisk on the family's memory of a loved one. if you want to free yourself and your loved ones, give this book your time. I'm happy with my purchase (audiobook) but think a PDF checklist would've been preferable to hearing a 'To Do' calendar which was offered at the end of the book. Still ... it's worth the time and money.

Most of the effects of this book was mental to me. I’ve dealt with mental clutter for a long while and its good to get a different perspective. I know that carrying things with you from the past doesn’t really help but she has her way around asking the most ridiculous questions that make you think. While Swedish death cleaning is a scary topic for most, having it laid out bare with simple steps definitely helps one relate to the concept.

Swedish death cleaning is truly a life changing

I find this book very apt at hitting the nail on the head. Swedish death cleaning is not a joke but should not have to be a painful process either. An idea that is well represented in this book. Most of the effects of this book was mental to me. I’ve dealt with mental clutter for a long while and its good to get a different perspective.

This is absolutely the best one

I'm exceptionally happy to have purchased this book. It follows an extremely shortsighted style that covers the point appropriately. This book is so soothing and easy to listen to that I started it over again a few weeks later. The author makes it clear from the start that death cleaning is not sad. I also enjoy telling people that I am reading a book with advice about making people feel happy when I die. listening this book has helped me to begin this journey of decluttering with a hope to not be in this position again.enjoyed this listen.the author did an excellent job of writing

A lot of good information

Lovely Being a clutter bug myself, I’ve always found the concept of cluttering rather difficult. However, with some of the directives offered here, I must say that it doesn’t really seem that much intimidating anymore. I look forward to doing some organizing myself.

Fantastic and amazing

Well actually, a huge problem as I never seem to be able to get rid of stuff even after they serve their purpose or get damaged. This has helped me realized just how much space clutter occupies both at home and in my mind. Not anymore

I have been looking into the Scandinavian concept for a while now and I must say that I am delighted to be able to get a map that details exactly where to start and how to go about the process. Thank you Kelsie Zaria.
